Part of the Here Come The Serious Quirks group show in Nottingham at the Stand Assembly studios and factory courtyard, April 20th to June 4th 2006.

The giant insect spider thing licks the roof of the little house, which is open to visitors and contains found objects and trinkets.

The insect is made from a child's quad-bike, an old leaf-blower, a rain barrel, drainpipes, & broom-handles. It is 17ft high including the tails and was subsequently displayed for a week "swatted" on the dais of the Trinity church in Leeds, and in 2010 on the stage of The Forum in Nottingham. The house is now a playhouse for my niece.
